What is it?

The Teens Program at The Port was created using CrossFit’s methodology to help get and keep our teenage athletes conditioned for whatever activity they participate in or want to pursue. Whether it be organized sports, outdoor activities, or simply to feel better in their day to day lives, we hope to instill self-confidence and promote the importance of growing up strong.

PortTeens is tailored specifically to growing adolescent athletes of all levels and abilities. This class will place a huge emphasis on moving well and staying safe all while pushing them outside of their comfort zones and really proving the significance and benefits of mental toughness.

At the teen level, their class begins to look a lot like a typical group CrossFit class. We begin with a slow introduction to movements or concepts and move towards mastery of technique with lighter weights, lots of repetition and consistency. Our programming also places a heavy focus on unilateral movement patterns and high-intensity conditioning. Just like in our adult group classes, each day will be a little bit different which comes back to the foundations of CrossFit – constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movements.

What is it?

The Kids Program at The Port is a great way to get your kids moving, having fun & learning the importance of being fit and healthy. Each 45 minute class will be filled with fun games, obstacle courses, and approachable bodyweight workouts. Coach Ashley will be running this program. She has a lot of experience with kids and is super excited to combine two of her passions! We have two different age groups and time frames for kids classes that you can read about below.
