1. How did to come to be a part of The Port? What’s the biggest thing that has changed since starting?
It’s been almost a year that joined our gym, my friend Megan H. brought me to the bring a friend class and since that, I just knew that’s where I wanted to spend my time working out. I’ve always thought that Crossfit was a sport for a limited circle of people – for the tough ones. 😉 During this year, I can say that my opinion was completely wrong. I found an amazing community that is always willing to help and that support every single step of the challenges that you set for us each day. I’ve always been athletic, but it really doesn’t matter your level of fitness, because the coaches will always help you get through the work-out to achieve the best result. Their knowledge is outstanding and their passion for one’s success is obvious. I find the workouts challenging and fun!! That’s why at 6 p.m. every day I can’t wait to check the post of the next day’s workout, it makes me feel like a kid on the Christmas morning. Currently, I’m working on my strict pull-ups and I’m amazed of the support that I get, not just from the coaches, but from the members, too. I’m thankful to the Port because it’s able to change my entire day and give me the energy to go through the day. There is never a time when I lack the motivation to work even harder, so 2019 get ready for me!
2. What your favorite kind of music to listen to while you workout?
It depends on which kind of work out I do, but I need beats for sure. I really enjoy a good old Hip Hop and RnB music (50Cent, Jeezy, Kanye West, Ciara etc.)
3. What is your favorite/least favorite CrossFit movement?
My favorite movement is the burpees over box and the least favorite one would be the overhead squat.
4. What was the last thing you Googled?
The last thing I googled is Reebok training shoes. I think it’s a time to get a new pair!
5. What is your favorite cheat food?
Mmmmm cheat food…that would be the Reeses peanut butter cups 😉 I try to eat healthy, but this is my weakness!
